Another in a Long Line

NYC has a history of electing arrogant pricks. So, this comes as no surprise.

What is disappointing, though, is that the Times is enabling it. Hey, Editors, the people have twice spoken on this issue. Arguing in favor of abolishing term limits, in the face of clear public sentiment to the contrary, by committee vote rather than referendum is anti-democratic.

There are lots of talented folks who could hold all those offices when the incumbents are forced out. No politician — and certainly not Bloomberg — is essential.
