The Current Mess

Is there any doubt that the current mess will cement the judgment that BushCo was the worst administration in history?

More importantly, will it open any eyes to the obvious truth that capitalism is not in our best interests? This isn't capitalism in crisis; it is how the system works. As Gretchen Morgenson put it in the Times today:

Such is our lot today: They break it. We own it.

Their success is theirs; their failure is ours. Hell, I'd like to live like a king with that kind of job.

No one is proposing that the world's owners stop gambling with public money. No, that is just the way it is. One way or another, they will ensure that the state steals from the poor (and everyone else who works for a living) to give to the rich.
